The world's first S&C Master's Degree delivered by a private coaching organization: a Program for coaches with serious aspirations.
WHY THE ALTIS HIGHER EDUCATION MSc EXISTS
Traditional MSc programs are not maximising your potential or providing good return on investment. Most are inadequate in preparing students for the complexities of the real world. This is especially true in S&C and coaching.
There are too many issues to list them all, but traditional programs suffer from:
- Institutional Barriers: Traditional education often focuses on meeting institutional requirements rather than preparing students for real-world challenges.
- Siloed Learning: Academic disciplines are disconnected, while real-world problems require integrated solutions.
- Lack of Coaching Staff: Many instructors lack real-world experience, leaving graduates underprepared.
- A Lack of Program Development: Programs are slow to adapt and change with the demands of the profession.
Coaching is a role where effectiveness and careers are based on your ability to solve problems, understand how things are connected and adapt to different constraints. Yet most graduates from traditional programs don’t possess these skills.
Do you want to make the biggest investment of your career and have these limited outcomes as a distinct possibility?
THE ALTIS HIGHER EDUCATION SOLUTION
Our program addresses these shortcomings by offering a personalized, mentored and practically-focused education experience for coaches.
- Coach Mentoring: The only program in the world where you access a built in mentoring program to help your confidence and clarity grow.
- Flexible Speeds and Assessment Deadlines: Your circumstances are unique, and the rigidity of most programs won’t work for you. We run an adaptable and dynamic program that can suit your current circumstances.
- Personalisation: The skills and concepts taught are applicable to any working environment; Track and field, team sports, Hyrox. Customise your focus and solve your problems.
- Principles and Frameworks - Not Theories and Boxes: We aren’t teaching you our model, or theories from the lab that don’t transfer. We give you the skills needed to excel in coaching and the frameworks to deal with complexity.
- Real-World Relevance: Designed to prepare students for the challenges and interconnectedness of modern professional environments, our curriculum is focused on real-world applications and coaching, not simply academic evidence.

You’ll have done something different and developed skills that very few have.
- Build and Benefit from a World Class Network: Build relationships with coaches from all over the world in your and previous cohorts. Previous cohorts include coaches from 15+ countries across the globe with many more to come.

WHAT DO OUR CURRENT STUDENTS SAY?
After several years of searching for a suitable MSc program to complement and expand my scope of practice, I selected the ALTIS MSc. To date, the program has exceeded my expectations and has significantly influenced the way I approach my professional work in ways I had not anticipated. Delivered by experts in their respective fields, this MSc represents far more than an academic qualification; it is a rigorous and transformative educational experience that continues to shape and enhance my professional practice.
This master’s program has been far better than I expected and is truly something I can call life changing. Not only have I already become a better coach, I’ve become better at my full time job as an analyst, a better friend, and a better family member. If you’re truly want to learn how to better assist your athletes, join a community of coaches who challenge and respect each other, and not just get a piece of paper that says “Master” then this is the program for you!
The ALTIS MSc is the program I've always wanted; theory aligned with practical and provable experience. Even after being a coach for over 20 years the value continues to impress me!
It's been a great experience! The team is super supportive and responsive. The course work is interactive and applicable in practice from the start. It's even helped me get better at solving problems outside of coaching.
I could not recommend more highly the ALTIS program for anyone who is ready to learn, grow and transform as a coach in ways that the traditional model is just not built to support. While the academic content is outstanding as well, the ALTIS MSc has taken a powerful step forward in graduate coaching education by combining field-leading lecturers and mentors, a diverse and highly experienced student body, and a curriculum that emphasizes active systems thinking over the passive reception of information. The network of students and staff is unbeatable, and everything we have learned so far has been directly or indirectly applicable to my coaching practice and goals.
In just 6-months the program has been transformative for me as a practitioner. It’s moved me away from falling back on reductive thinking, and fully leaning into a human-first approach. The program's flexibility has also been huge, between career transitions, launching a business, undergoing surgery the structure has allowed me to stay engaged without having to put everything else on hold. I've felt genuinely supported from day one and I can confidently say that my growth is taken very seriously. I will always be thankful for having made the decision to take part in this program!
This has been an invaluable educational experience; one that blends theoretical concepts with contextual application in a way that is unrivalled. I'd recommend the course to any coach or practitioner who is looking to develop practical coaching and programming competence, along with real life problem solving skill.
The ALTIS Master’s program has been career changing, pairing incredible mentors and classmates with access to the full ALTIS ecosystem. It’s the best step you can take if you’re serious about becoming an elite level coach.
The ALTIS HE Program has been an invaluable experience for me as a coach. The program has helped me improve my skills to better understand, frame, and address complex problems. It’s been great to learn from some of the best coaches in their respective fields, while also connecting with other coaches who share a strong desire to improve.
Even as a coach who isn’t specifically in an S&C focussed role, I’ve learned a huge amount in just the first block of the program. Every task has given me a useful new perspective that I have been able to immediately apply at work.
The program has already helped me learn when to zoom out and when to zoom in. Even in just the first block I’m seeing the problems we are learning about happen in real time when I coach. It’s been instantly applicable into our world cup prep!
The system's view has helped me interpret research, make decisions and generally understand the impact of all of my actions. My coaching seems to be rapidly evolving and I'm really excited for the future work.
