- Four integrated blocks of study.
- Three residential study blocks, with options to attend in Scottsdale, Phoenix, AZ or London, United Kingdom.
- A combination of online lessons, live calls, mentorship sessions, and practicals.
OUR PERSPECTIVE & FRAMEWORK:
This program approaches health & performance through a 21st-century lens, built on the principles of Complex, Adaptive, Dynamical Systems. We recognize that athlete, coaches, scientists, and sports medicine practitioners all work within interconnected, evolving systems.
From day one, we'll introduce and guide you through this systems-based perspective, providing a framework that informs every aspect of the program.
Blocks of Study:
Each block is designed a round a central theme, and a curated set of real-world problems you'll encounter as a practitioner:
- Block 1: Coaching and Developing Skills: Covers coaching science and movement foundations, focusing on anatomy, biomechanics, task demands, coaching frameworks, and skill acquisition.
- Block 2: From Capacities to Coordination: Includes technical models, athlete profiling, training paradigms, the application of technology for training transfer in Speed, COD, & Agility, and Strength & Power.
- Block 3: Physiology in Performance and Planning in Context: Integrates Planning and Periodization for Performance, Long Term Athletic Development, and Metabolic Conditioning. Focuses on designing training programs to develop energy systems and optimize long-term training goals in youth and adult populations.
- Block 4: Coaching Project: Synthesizes knowledge and skills into a case study, supported by personal and group mentoring, with support for finding internships and placement opportunities.
Assessment:
- Formative Assessments: Students receive ongoing feedback through an iterative process.
- Skill Development Focus: Designed to build practical skills and deepen understanding.
- Engagement with Real-World Challenges: Includes projects and tasks that mimic real-world scenarios.

- Flexible Learning: Engage in a breadth of content, flexibly, from anywhere in the world.
- In-Person Experiential Learning: Hands-on experiences during three week-long residential sessions in Phoenix, Arizona, or London, UK, led by the ALTIS team and our module tutors for the learning block.

PROGRAM ACCREDITATION
The Masters Program is accredited through a European collegiate higher education institution whose degrees are recognised in Europe and the United States. This means that students graduate from the Program with an internationally recognised Masters Degree in Strength, Conditioning and Coaching Practice.
This program is awarded against the European Credit Transfer System (ECTS); the largest transferable higher education credit system in the world.

Full Time Students: 5-6 hours per week in structured learning activities, with an additional 15-25 hours for self-study, coaching, planning, and assessments.

We ask all of our applicants to have, or to have recently have had a regular coaching role in a sporting setting to join the program. We will support the opportunity for further experience and exposure to different environments but your learning and experience will be enhanced by currently having access to athletes.
Yes. The program is designed for coaches from, and looking to, work in any sport.
The Program includes three in-person residential opportunities in either Scottsdale, AZ, USA, or London, UK.
Dates are TBC, and are the same for both full-time and part-time students.
You are able to complete the program without attending these, however, we encourage you to attend to optimize your learning and skills.
