Introduction to Performance Therapy Program

The Introduction to Performance Therapy Program is a one day, intensive Program led by Dr. Jas Randhawa, designed for medical practitioners, strength and conditioning professionals, and sport coaches. This introductory course is an evidence informed, educational pathway designed to introduce participants to the ALTIS Performance Therapy framework. Through both theoretical and applied course work, participants will gain new insights into the dynamics of movement and again a better understanding of movement based problems. The foundational concepts taught at this course aim to help professional better utilize their current skills set to help athletes optimize their athletic potential.
Being organic in nature, the content covered within this course can be expanded to best suit the delegates interests. With that, the four main topic areas which will be explored include:
- The Philosophy of Evidence Based Medicine and the Underpinnings of Health & Performance: What is evidence and how a shift in how we view it can make all the difference in health and performance.
- Model Thinking within a Performance Environment: How models and systems thinking can affect athlete performance.
- The Role Ecological Dynamics Plays in Athlete Management: What drives athlete decision making and how to utilize representative design in Performance Therapy.
- Practical Considerations in Performance Therapy: How Performance Therapy can be applied with context to a variety of sports and organizations.
