Press for ALTIS.

As the dust from Rio settles and eyes are set on London and Tokyo, the staff at ALTIS World have been hard at work. The next 4-year Olympic Cycle on the horizon is full of opportunity and hope, and ALTIS World plans to continue developing world-class athletes in their preparations for international success.

ALTIS are excited to announce some developments in staffing, as well as a commitment to continue delivering the highest level of education alongside their elite athletic training environment. ALTIS CEO John Godina has been busy with this re-structuring at ALTIS to continue building on the impressive results from the past four years.

“After another successful year for ALTIS athletes and coaches, I am excited to start the new year. We have re-aligned and added to our already world class staff with a single intent – being the best we can for our athletes. I am confident this year’s ALTIS will be the best version yet as we prepare for the new quadrennium.” – John Godina

Specialist senior coach Kevin Tyler will move into his new role as President at ALTIS World. He will join senior staff member Stu McMillan as Performance Director, and both will be working closely with Dan Pfaff as Head Coach at ALTIS World.

Continuing his excellent job as Recruiting Director, hurdles Coach Andreas Behm will also take a position as Education Director. As education programs at ALTIS continue to grow, Digital Education Manager will be filled by Ellie Spain, working alongside Jumps and Combined Events Coach Kyle Hierholzer as Education Manager.

A welcomed addition, and to assist in the structure and development of ALTIS as a world class training and education facility, Carole Burton will join the ALTIS Team as Operations Manager.

Turning our attention overseas towards the new high performance centre in China, PJ Vazel has taken the Head Coach role and will lead ALTIS World’s operations in the east. PJ comes with an impressive resume, coaching two sub-10 second sprinters, including World Indoor Champion Olusoji Fasuba, and has been a performance specialist writer for IAAF since 2004. His extensive coaching expertise and impressive statistical knowledge give him the perfect background to breed success from all athletes he works with.

The remaining team at ALTIS will continue as normal, with a big 2016/17 season planned, and some more exciting announcements to look forward to soon…
