A hot young prospect in the sprints with 100m best of 10.19s, and 200m PR of 20.65s, Arizona State University Graduate – Ryan Milus is the latest talented recruit to be joining Altis this summer. Speaking on behalf of Altisr, Recruitment Director Andreas Behm said: “We are very excited that Ryan has decided to train with us. He is an explosive and sleek athlete. He comes from a distinguished college and is still fairly new to the sport of track and field, having picked up sprinting only late in high school. We feel he has just scratched the surface of his vast potential.”

To welcome in the latest member of the Altis family, we sat down to found out more about what makes Ryan Milus tick…

I hope to be spending time with family when my athletic career is done.

What does T&F need to do to build its popularity in North America?

I think the main thing is improving the TV coverage and getting more track meets on TV so people and fans can better familiarize themselves with the many great athletes that are in this sport.

Maximizing my full potential in Track & Field and winning is what motivates me.

What has prevented you from succeeding in the past?

Being impatient with some of my injuries has prevented me succeeding in the past. You have to be smart with how you manage your body in different situations.

Why did you choose to join the Altis?

I chose Altis because I have heard nothing but great things about all of the coaches here. When I came to visit I had a chance to see the training environment and it was something that also made me want to be a part of Altis.

What are you most looking forward to about being based here?

I look forward to learning from the premier coaches at Altis and being able to apply what I learn to the track in practice and competition.

And finally – anything you are dreading?!

The heat out here in Arizona…but I’m getting used to it!
