We are excited to announce a new partnership for 2016 – with Freelap – makers of the The Freelap Timing System.
Freelap is an easy-to-use, fully automated timing system which can be used to monitor fly-in sprints, splits, block starts, tempo runs, recovery times, laps and runway speeds; and is used extensively by ALTIS coaches to provide objective data on training performance and progression.
“The Freelap system provides a portable, versatile, user-friendly system – which we have seamlessly integrated into day-to-day training here at ALTIS.”
“We have found Freelap’s products to be super helpful in being able to accurately quantify training measures, and are delighted to be able to support their use” said Performance Director – Stuart McMillan. “Whereas previous generation timing systems took time to set up, the Freelap system provides a portable, versatile, user-friendly system – which we have seamlessly integrated into day-to-day training here at ALTIS. Moreover, our aligned objectives of driving change and progress make the partnership an obvious fit.”
To celebrate this collaboration, ALTIS will be publishing blog-posts weekly on Freelap’s website – authored by coaches and support staff alike. With a wide range of topics relevant to Track & Field set to be featured, the move is intended to continue raising the profile of our sport, as well as provide a platform to further share the visions, philosophies and opinions of ALTIS staff.
Keep an eye on Freelap’s website for the first post … coming soon!
